Meet the voices shaping the future of environmental economics! ๐
Every new academic year brings fresh energy, and we are especially excited to introduce our newly elected Student Representative, Olivia Maczka, and Vice Student Representative, Amelie Seelig, from the 2nd M3EP Cohort. Stepping up to act as the bridge between students and faculty, they will play a key role in shaping the M3EP experience.
We asked them what motivated them to run for student representative, how Copenhagen has welcomed them, and what makes this Erasmus Mundus programme so special:
๐ฌ Olivia Maczka | University of Copenhagen (Kรธbenhavns Universitet) – > Charles University
“I am incredibly grateful to have been elected as the Student Representative of the M3EP program for the next two years. In our first few weeks of studies, I have found the learning environment truly inspiring; from the diversity of perspectives present in the classroom to the opportunities presented by the range of expert teaching, the programme has highlighted the complex challenges of designing a green and just transition.
I applied for the Representative role because I believe this programme has the potential to equip us with the tools needed to address the urgent environmental crisis and find solutions. Being only the second cohort of M3EP, our contribution and participation in the design of our studies is essential to shape the experience of the program for future cohorts. Amelie and I intend to maintain strong communication between students and professors and to be receptive to each otherโs ideas and feedback.
Copenhagen has warmly welcomed us with lots of exciting events, from supporting the newly-created course football team to swimming in the city centre. I look forward to what the rest of our year here will bring!”
๐ฌ Amelie Seelig | University of Copenhagen (Kรธbenhavns Universitet) -> Universitร degli Studi di Milano
“Iโm very happy and grateful that my fellow students have trusted me with the role of Vice Student Representative. We have an incredibly active and engaged cohort, and itโs great to see how much energy and initiative everyone brings to the programme. Iโm looking forward to building on that spirit, bringing different ideas and perspectives together, and creating opportunities for us to shape our M3EP experience in and beyond the classroom. Iโm excited to see what we can make of the next two years together!”
Join us in congratulating Olivia and Amelie! We cannot wait to see the impact you both make. ๐
